Employee Spotlight
Amanda Vanover started working for The Villas as a
caregiver part-time while still in high school at the age
of 16. She recently graduated and is working full-time
in Recreational Therapy. Amanda has a natural talent of
bringing out the best in everyone, motivating our
residents to participate in socials, games, arts and crafts,
and exercise. Assisting our residents with special needs
and helping them overcome their obstacles is
her passion.
Amanda, a fraternal twin, was born and raised right
here in Tucson. She enjoys spending time with her
family, our residents, and doing anything outdoors—
hiking, fishing, camping, or horseback riding. Thanks
Amanda for inspiring us all!

Grandparents Day Celebration
Linda Rothchild and Frank Ross
Grandparents Day is Sunday, Sept. 13 ... In honor of all of our
wonderful grandmas and grandpas, we are having a special evening
concert performed by our local favorite duo, Frank & Linda,
6-7 p.m. in Villa GG.
Franklin Ross and Linda Rothchild are two seasoned artists who
perform across genres and through the decades. Their repertoire offers
an exciting mix of tunes in Spanish, French, Portuguese, and English.
They move easily from Cole Porter to Gershwin, Beatles to Eagles,
Broadway to Doo-Wop, and Classic Rock to cool Bossa Novas.
Guitarist Frank Ross has performed for the past 25 years and is the
founder and band leader for Tucson’s own Street Minstrel.
New York native and vocalist Linda Rothchild is the founder of the
Tucson folk trio WomanSong and has performed in the Tucson Gilbert
& Sullivan Repertory Company, the Scottsdale Center for the
Performing Arts, and Sun City Vistoso, among others.
Invite your family and friends for an evening to remember.
Resident Spotlight
Maryann was born and raised in Hicks, Colorado.
Proud of her Hispanic and Apache Indian heritage,
Maryann is a country girl at heart and has fond memories
of growing up on a ranch surrounded by animals and
nature. She loves the outdoors and continues to thrive on
nature by tending to her beautiful plants and flowers at
The Villas. Baby, her companion of three years, doesn’t go
anywhere without her.
Maryann is one of six children, has four children of her
own, three grandchildren, and three gorgeous
great-grandchildren. Her late husband was a proud family
man who served our country in the Air Force. Maryann
also enjoys sewing, painting, and nature walks with Baby.
We are so thankful to have Maryann and Baby as a part of
our neighborhood!
