A high­-rise building is defined as a
structure of at least 35 meters high,
divided into 12 floors.

increasing in height. One of the
highest residential buildings in the
world, the Q1 tower in Australia,
with 80 floors and a height of
323 meters will be small in
comparison with future projects.
The new record holder is the
“Burj Khalifa”, with its 162 floors
and a total height of 828 meters,
it is a true giant.

Currently there are more than
7,500 high-­rise buildings under
construction. After completion
there will be more than 100,000
skyscrapers worldwide.
All combined they would be more
than 13,000 kilometers high!
