REPORT OF COMMITTEES
FINANCE DEPARTMENT
Mayor Deluca said we are having our public hearing for the budget amendment tonight. He said our tax
rate was very good, our bottom number for the town was close to zero percent for the municipal
budget. The County has been playing nice with us and he is hoping for a good year and future good
years.
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
Councilman Mascaro said Superintendent Ryan submitted a plan for the cross walks and street markings
that need to be re-done, especially in the school zones, we are waiting on a confirmation from the
County approving the plan and as soon as that is approved we will be getting it done. The storm drains
on the north side of town are clean and the south side is being worked on now. The grass has started to
be picked up and he reminded everyone to keep it strictly to grass, no brush or anything else because it
just slows them down and damages the machine. May 14th there will be a paper shredding program at
Lucent.
PUBLIC SAFETY

or police cars bunch up, don’t get alarmed, they are doing a bunch of programs. Next week the school

programs for the school, we are looking to become a blue ribbon school. The Library meets tomorrow
night and the Board of Health meets the following Thursday. The Veterans Affairs will meet
