Mesopotamian Achievements Quilt

For this project you are to create a quilt with 8 different Sumerian contributions,
achievements and/or inventions. You will need to use the book (chapter 3) as a guide for
your quilt.
The purpose of this assignment is to demonstrate your knowledge of the Sumerians'
cdvcncements and contributions to a developed and complex civilization.
Directions:
1. Fold the construction paper into 8 squares.
Include the title somewhere on the quilt (title = MesopotamianAchievementsQuilt).
3. On each square, draw a picture, symbol, or any creative representation of a specific
Sumerian achievement, contribution or invention.
4. At the bottom of each square, write at least 2 sentences with the following
information:
a. NAME the achievement contribution or invention
b. EXPLAIN its importance. Tell why it was important, or how it helped the
Sumerians, or how its importance has affected us today.
5. You must color the ENTIRE quilt!! NO WHITE MAY'SHOWI!
6. You may use the textbook, Internet or other books for information. Dq not only use
to the ones mentioned in our textbook. There are no limits to the resources you
may use!! However make sure the inventions you choose are accurate.
