Tennis Ball Challenge
(push-up position)
Equipment: tennis ball and similar ball of the same size
Options: For push-up phase use military, modified, or modified leg/hip.
Actions: In push-up position perform the following:
Taps. Place ball between hands and tap the ball with the right then the
left hand.
Slaps. Slap or push the ball back and forth between the right and left hand,
Tosses. Put all weight on the right arm, hold the ball in the left hand in
the air. Toss the ball in the air, put the left hand down, and catch the ball
with your right hand.
Bounces. Put your weight on your left arm. How many times can you
bounce and catch the ball with your right hand? Can you dribble it?
Chins. Put all your weight on the left arm, and hold the ball in the right
hand. Place the ball under the chin, put all your weight on the right hand,
take the ball out from under your chin with the left hand, and place it on
the ground.
Backs. Put all your weight on your left arm, pick the ball up in the right
hand, and drop it on the other side of the body. Put all your weight on the
right arm, and pick ball up with the left hand.
