Week by week, learners cover specific
material, and there may be due dates for
assignments. Online courses are not selfpaced. On a day-to-day basis, learners
retain control over their schedules; they
don’t need to be at their computers at a
specific time on a specific day. Class
participation and the exchange of ideas is
the foundation of the CCD Online Learning
program; although classmates and
professors may be geographically remote,
students will definitely be well-connected
to them. Students must have access to a
PC, an Internet Service Provider and an
email account. Access online courses (with
section numbers beginning with ‘7’) at
www.ccd.edu and clicking on the
Desire2Learn icon at the bottom of the
page.
