2014 Rehab Town Roast, “A Haunted Tour of Mansylvania” was held on Friday, October 31, 2014 at The Renaissance
Theater. This local production showcased many talented performers from our area. Directed again this year by Michael Miller.
The Rehab Town Roast also featured Eric Snyder as MC. Writers included Dave Kitzler, Kyle Miller, Mike Miller and Eric Snyder.
This year’s “spoof” focused on a tour of a family of Ghouls and Goblins who found themselves in “Mansylvania”. The haunted
tour took them to Mifflin Lake, the 179th Airlift Wing, the former site of GM plant and The Mansfield Reformatory among other
locations. This popular biennial fundraiser for The Rehab Center pulled no punches when pointing out the foibles and the
misadventures of our citizens , businesses , and of course, politicians. Susie Sawyer choreographed the musical-variety show and
taught over 40 volunteers some intricate dance steps to familiar songs. A pre-show Patron Party was held in the Renaissance
Ballroom and was attended by over 200 Town Roast supporters.
The Rehab Town Roast dates back to 1976. From its early days, all dollars raised at the fund raiser go to provide services to
those who without financial assistance would not be able to receive the benefit of the much needed therapies and programs.
