That Council approves the Devon Funtimers in-kind donation of the non-prime ice rate for their
tournament along with a letter requesting that they submit an application through the grant program
available through the budget process.

11.1 Council Reports
Councillor May attended the Committee of the Whole meeting, Yellowhead Regional Library meeting,
State of the Town Address, and a joint council meeting with Leduc County; nice to have those open and
transparent relationships and to have a less formal meeting for candid conversations. Went to the Local
Youth 3rd Anniversary Eye Shine Awards and participated in CAO performance review.
Councillor Hugh attended the Committee of the Whole meeting, Devon Historical Society meeting, great
to see how far the group has come and is working on archiving; the group has expressed a need for seed
money. Went to the State of the Town Address; attended the joint Council meeting with Leduc County,
Local Youth 3rd Anniversary Eye Shine Awards, great to see the youth give back to community. Also did
notice new recycling bins in Community Centre, thank you.
Councillor Laveck went to the Leduc foundation board meeting; economy is changing how the rentals
are done. Attended the Leduc City and County Mayoral Address, the two mayors talked about similar
things but presented in their own manner and identified that both communities are experiencing
growth. Attended the Committee of the Whole meeting, State of the Town Address, joint Council
meeting with Leduc County, Local Youth Experience and Devon Fire Fighters participated in the head
shaving Cancer fundraiser, raised over $6,000, 9 participants and Shaggy Barb helped out with the
shaving with Devon as the 5th highest amount raised in Alberta. Attended the Leduc foundation Finance
Committee meeting and CAO review.

Councillor Adams attended all of the same Council driven meetings including the State of the Town. Had
an economic hybrid industrial meeting to leverage experience and knowledge and to work
collaboratively, looking forward to seeing the results. Unfortunately had to miss the Local Youth 3rd
Anniversary but great to hear of the success.
Councillor Porter attended all of the same Council driven meetings including the State of the Town.
Councillor Koroll attended all of the same Council driven meetings. Was at the Devon Riverview Vet
who acknowledged the good working relationships the Community Peace Officers have with them.
Attended the Fire Department head shave which was fantastic, participation was great. Attended the
joint Leduc County Council meeting, Local Youth 3rd Anniversary was great. Went to the State of the
town address, Thank You to the Chamber for hosting. Grand opening of the River of Hope Church, great,
and is debt free, Congratulations.
Mayor Lindop attended the River of the Hope Church grand opening. On Thursday March 12th met with
Minister Bilous regarding economic growth and green initiatives. This morning attended the Northern
Alberta Mayors Reeves Caucus and spoke to them and was acknowledged by Mayor Iveson for the Town
of Devon being green initiative leaders.

Councillor Porter enquired as to where the TV for the Community Centre with the solar
information is? Administration advised it is currently under repair.
12.2 Assisting Devon Historical Society
Councillor Hugh enquired if we can work with the Devon Historical Society on grant
applications.
12.3 Movement of Skate Board Park
Councillor Hugh indicated that since the Ridge condo building appears to be moving forward,
would like to see the discussion on moving the skate board park on a future agenda.
12.4 Realtors and Business Licenses
Councillor Koroll enquired if a realtor put up a sign in our community if they are required to
have a business license.
