Fractions, decimals, percentages:

The fractions and decimals are presented in many different
formats to give greater depth of meaning and understanding

9 new games deal especially with the underlying concepts
involved including:
 Recognising and drawing different fractions
 Matching equivalent fractions and converting to higher bases/cancelling down
 Understanding of improper fractions and mixed numbers and
the conversion of one to another
 Calculations using fractions

Decimals are shown visually—calculations involve all 4 operations
to 3 places of decimals.
 The relationship is shown between common fractions, decimals & percentages
Units of measurement: New topics practise conversion between:


Different decimal metric units of measurement
Different money denominations
Negative numbers: Numbers to minus 10 have been introduced on a
simple number line.
Partition: 2 new games use partition for addition and multiplication up to 3 digits
