PAINT A PEACH ART CONTEST – CALL FOR PEACHES!
A Community Partnership between Live Nation, The Peach Music Festival at Toyota Pavilion at Montage Mountain,
Lackawanna County Arts and Culture Department and First Friday Scranton
WHAT IS THE PAINT A PEACH ART CONTEST?
Live Nation and Toyota Pavilion seek organizations and artists to sponsor, paint, and decorate wooden 4’ x ‘4 peaches as promotion of the 2nd Annual Peach Music
Festival presented by the Allman Brothers Band on August 15-18, 2013. Peaches can be decked out, painted or ornamented in any way but must include the
following words on it: “Peach Music Festival 2013” and “Montage Mountain”.
Proceeds raised from the Paint a Peach Art Contest will go to First Friday Scranton to support the monthly Artwalk.
Starting at the April 5th First Friday event, peaches will be available for distribution.
Once decorated, we encourage artists and organizations to display peaches for all to enjoy from April to August. Examples can be: store fronts, lobbies or reception
areas, exterior façades or any other place highly visible area throughout the city of Scranton. To encourage creativity in displaying the peach, a separate prize will be
awarded to the peach displayed in the most unique manor.
All peaches will then be gathered and displayed at the August 2nd First Friday event for a final judging ceremony and prize distribution.
Peaches will then be transported to The Peach Music Festival grounds at Toyota Pavilion starting August 15th.
This is a great and affordable marketing tool for an organization or artist to take advantage of a vibrant city downtown, the widely popular First Friday Events and
over 30,000 people expected at The Peach Music Festival.
Awards will be given to the top three peaches

1st prize: (4) Four day tickets to Peach Music Festival, $100 from Penn Foster Career School, (2) Peach Music Festival shirts, (2) Peach Music Festival

Best Display: $100

Do not send money. Money will be collected when you pick up your peach. The Paint a Peach Art Contest Coordinator, Alysia Scazafabo, will follow up with
instructions and directions.
WHAT IS THE COST AND DEADLINE
The cost is $25.00 (Cash or Check only) to sponsor a peach. Make checks payable to “First Friday Scranton”. All proceeds from the peaches go to First Friday
Scranton. We encourage early entry, however, peaches will be available to sponsor until July 26, 2013.
HOW DO I GET MY PEACH?
There are three ways:
1) In person at First Friday Events April 5th, May 3rd, June 7th, and July 5th
2) Pick up at Toyota Pavilion (1000 Montage Mountain Road, Scranton, PA) M – F 10AM – 5PM
3) Contact the Paint a Peach Project Coordinator, Alysia Scazafabo at [email protected] to make other arrangements.
No vulgarity or inappropriate images may be used. Live Nation reserves the right to refuse submissions for any reason.
Peaches become the property of Live Nation. All proceeds benefit First Friday Scranton.
