Tessellation Project
Students will create a simple tessellation following the steps used from Geometry Playground (see attached). I have also created a flip chart to further break
down the process of creating a tessellation. I have an example I did to show the students as well. This is an individual activity and the students will have all class
period and that evening to finish their tessellation.
Quadrilateral Project
Students will choose their own groups of 3. Each group will draw out of a box which contains all the quadrilaterals we learned this chapter.
The students will have to create a poster illustrating everything there is to know about that quadrilateral including:
Title
Definition
Picture Example
Properties
An algebraic Problem involving the quadrilateral (worked out step by step)
An example at the bottom for someone else to try (not worked out)
Each group will present their quadrilateral to the class and their poster will then be displayed outside my classroom. The students will have all class period to
finish this project. They will be graded based on:
Poster neatness
Correct Information
Each member being involved
Creativity
