What is Illegal Dumping
Illegal dumping is any unauthorized disposal of waste on any public or private
property. Usually, people dump illegally to avoid collection and disposal fees, or
because they believe proper disposal is just "too much trouble."

Accomplishments
– Annual funding from CUP Lancaster Landfill
– Current Garbage Disposal Districts (GDD) and
Franchise Contractors assist with removal of illegal
dumping and provide free bulky item pick-up
– Free Disposal events are established as a resource to
deter illegal dumping
– Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) events
– Waste Tire roundup events
– Community clean-up efforts
