BCSD 2015-16 UPDATE
Today’s Objectives
• To share the District’s goals and major actions
supporting our goals
• To discuss the progress we have made during the
2015-16 school year
• To collect your feedback on improving our work for
the 2016-17 school year
Background
• In 2013 the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) was signed into law in California
• Provided greater flexibility in how districts meet the needs of students
• Provided districts greater funding for students with a high percentage of low
income, English Learners, and foster youth.
• The LCAP/LEA is the District’s plan for how it will use the funding to support all
students.
• The LCAP/LEA goals and actions are required to be aligned with the State’s Eight
Priorities:

7: Course Access
8: Other Student Outcomes
