This five-part Georgian mansion was built in the 1760s by
William Paca, one of Maryland’s four Signers of the
Declaration of Independence and the state’s third Governor.
Carefully restored by Historic Annapolis beginning in 1965,
today it is recognized as one of the finest 18th-century homes
in the country and a National Historic Landmark. Guided tours

colonial and revolutionary Annapolis. The gardens have been
painstakingly restored to its original splendor as a picturesque
retreat from the bustle of the city. Visitors can view native and

More than 100 years after it was originally proposed, the
Smithsonian National Museum of African American History
and Culture is opening its doors in Washington, D.C. This
national museum helps to tell a richer and fuller story of those
Americans of African descent. A hundred years in the making
the story can now be revealed. The Sweet Home Cafe inside
the museum offers food that satisfies the hunger — and a
space that satisfies the mind. It has four serving stations,
each representing a region of the United States: The North
States, Western Range, Agriculture South and Creole Coast.
The idea is to expand people's understanding of just how
much African-Americans have contributed to our nation's
culinary heritage. We will depart Manassas at 8:00 a.m. and

SOME ENCHANTED EVENING – THE SONGS OF
RODGERS & HAMMERSTEIN will celebrate Riverside’s
twentieth-anniversary season. The season opens with this
glorious celebration of the most memorable songs of the team
that established the Broadway musical as a totally American
genre, Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein. Their
parade of hit shows across a span of nearly seventeen years
of collaboration made Broadway shine with such landmark
musicals as Oklahoma, Carousel, South Pacific, The King and
I, Me and Juliet, Cinderella, Flower Drum Song, and The
Sound of Music. More than just a collection of over thirty iconic
R&H compositions, this production interplays their songs in a
dialogue between five performers as they develop their
personalities and express their perspectives on relationships.
From a backstage setting in the first act that features
ensemble performances, to an on stage second act devoted to
solo performances, listening to the classic songs of R&H
styled by each character will be like hearing the music and
lyrics for the very first time. Don’t miss the passion and beauty
of Richard Rodgers” music and the deceptively simple yet
moving lyrics of Oscar Hammerstein live on stage. We will

shopping mall offers a distinct mix of shops, restaurants, cafés
and stunning views of the East River. Enjoy lunch on your

have a personal connection to that tragic day. Hear their
personal stories and the touching recounts of tragedy and
heroism of many other everyday citizens. The tour begins at
St. Paul's Chapel, the oldest public building in New York City
in continuous use. This church miraculously survived the
falling buildings and debris from the 9/11 attacks despite it
being only a block away. It became a makeshift rescue center
during the aftermath and its iron fence became a bulletin
board where family members posted notices of their missing
loved ones. Today, with the mementos received from people
around the world, the church serves as a tribute site. You’ll
hear about the heroic emergency responders at the
Firefighter's 9/11 Memorial Wall, and see Engine and Ladder
Company 10/10, the fire station at Ground Zero. Enter the
9/11 Memorial, where you can pay your respects to those who
lost their lives in the World Trade Center. See the Reflecting
Absence Memorial, the largest manmade waterfall inside the
9/11 Memorial, symbolizing the vast void left by the tragedy.
Learn how the names of the nearly 3,000 victims were placed

colleagues. See the new Freedom Tower and World Trade
Center rise from the ground in this beautiful 8-acre green city

creation, announcing a new album and a 50-date international
