Marvelous Music News
By: Morgan DeWitt
The music news for this month is
very exciting because the Christmas concerts are coming up!!
Mr. Wenrich is planning to have
the middle school band play in
the Christmas concert with plenty
of wonderful songs. The concert
will be on December sixth. The
money from tickets will be donations to the band. The money
made from the tickets will go towards new music, supplies, and
instruments. Everyone can say
this concert will be good because
Mr. Wenrich has been doing
this for five
years now.
That`s
the
news about
the
middle
school
band. Now
for the news
about
the
fifth through
eighth grade
choir. Mrs.
Kline is planning do some very popular
songs such as Jingle Bell Rock. Mrs.
Kline says that the choir members are
doing well as long as everyone
comes to sectionals. Also for
the Choir the tickets will be donations. These donations will
also help the Choir get music
and supplies for next year so it
all goes back to the choir. The
concert will be December eighth.
The Christmas concerts are held
at the auditorium. To sign up for
Band or Chorus you would need
to see Mrs. Kline or Mr. Wenrich
in their rooms. And that`s the music news for this month!!

Mike Gaval, Mahanoy Area (Mahanoy City, Pa.)
Northwest Area (Shickshinny, Pa.) simply had no answer for Gaval, a 5-foot-11, 160-pound senior quarterback who ran for a school-record 328 yards on just 13
carries in a 41-0 victory in the Eastern Conference Division I playoffs. Gaval had three touchdown runs and
completed 3-of-6 passes for 75 yards and a score. His
monster performance also gave him the single-season
school rushing mark with 1,912 yards, passing the previous record of 1,584. He’ll have a chance to add to it
when the Bears play Nativity (Pottsville, Pa.) on Friday
night.
