A Monthly Publication of
Mats for the Homeless: The Women’s Ministry has joined Sue
Harris in providing plastic bags and crocheting the bags into
mats for the homeless. It takes 752 bags to make just one mat,
so we encourage our members to recycle by donating their plastic grocery bags for this cause. Please bring them by the church
office or watch for a designated receptacle for them in the near
future.

Return Service Requested
Mary Magdalene Portrayal: Virginia Haynes, organist and Leader
of Women’s Ministry at First Baptist Church in Huntsville, wants
to share Jesus’ great healing in the life of Mary Magdalene. Join
us for her presentation on Thursday, April 6 at 6:30 p.m. It is
not her intention to add to or take away from the scriptures, but
to testify of what Christ can do for anyone that needs forgiveness, healing and/or yearns for a close relationship with Jesus Christ. Please sign up in the foyer and plan to bring a salad to
the event.
We are preparing for a week of special services and activities in the
week leading up to Easter. Come
and help us remember and celebrate the death and resurrection
or our Savior.
Palm Sunday: As we conclude our series on “Life After Life”
and begin our Holy Week emphasis, we invite you to a special
musical presentation by DABC’s adult choir and orchestra
called “Heaven” on Sunday, April 9 at 6:00 p.m. Near the
end of this program, we will have a slide show portraying
church and family members who are already in heaven. If you
have a picture of a loved one that you want portrayed in this
segment, please get it to the church office no later than
Wednesday, April 5.
Messiah in the Passover: Dr. Gil Lain will lead us as we share
together in a Jewish Passover on Thursday, April 13 at 7:00
p.m. in the Family Life Center. On the night before Good Friday, Jesus instituted the Lord’s Supper. We will be observing
this ordinance as well. There is no cost for this activity, but
you do need to get a ticket for yourself and those coming
with you. Why? To make sure you have a place. We can only
seat 250 participants. If you have children or youth in your
home, we encourage you to bring them to this special service. We will provide childcare for children from bed babies
through kindergarten. Please sign up and pick up a ticket in
the mall area Sunday or at the church office during the
week.
Good Friday Service: Join us as we remember the cross and
worship our Lord Jesus together at noon on Good Friday,
April 14 in the worship center.
