Deputy Managing Director, Relations & IT
I would like to extend my pleasure over the ostensible success which KPC recent
blood donation campaign has achieved. This campaign which is entitled “Donate
and save a life” epitomized the principle of actual partnership and collaboration
between KPC and the various government authorities. In addition, it has
demonstrated the principle of altruism which the employees of the Kuwaiti oil
sector adopts. This principle is embodied in each activity or task they shoulder
starting from their diligent efforts in exploration, production, and refining fields
besides the field of exporting to reinforce the status of the State of Kuwait as a
major reliable oil exporter.
This campaign has further epitomized our belief in the importance of applying the
concepts of social responsibility which have become one of the necessary supports in
societies, as they are considered effective ways to accomplish individual and social
progress. In addition, the actual value of an individual in his society is estimated
by his commitment to the responsibility that he undertakes towards himself and
others. The social responsibility means the individual’s awareness towards the
personal and social duty, as such awareness is key pivot in the concepts of social
responsibility.
Indisputably, the key of success and growth of any economic institution is adherently
linked to the ability of realizing the importance of the social responsibility which is
in turn connected to a number of sublime humanitarian values and criteria among
which solidarity and patriotism towards any activity related to the corporation.
Consequently, we hope to put forth more diligent effort to optimize this humanitarian
value which is a cornerstone in the development and prosperity of the corporation.

Kuwait’s oil exports increased by 100% for 10 years
Nasser Al-Mudhaf: It is a strategic contract…
China is our new market
Kuwait Petroleum Corporation has recently signed a strategic contract with China International Petroleum Co to provide the latter with 300,000 bpd of crude oil for ten years
starting August 2014.
Mr. Nasser Al-Mudhaf, Managing Director of International
Marketing Sector at KPC, said this contract comes into effect instead of the old contract which obligated Kuwait to
export nearly from 160,000 up to 170,000 bpd to China. He
emphasized that this new contract is strategic and it is signed
in a timely manner since it is the first contract endorsed in
liaison with ‘C & F” system which necessitates using the
Kuwaiti tankers to transport the Kuwaiti crude oil to China;
the matter will ease the processes of operation, production
and export.

He indicated that the contract is approved in accordance
with the commercial conditions, which guarantee KPC
rights, and the international oil prices, clarifying that the
contract is the first of its kind in terms of the long-term contracts which China legally licenses. Thus, KPC is considered the first oil company signs such kind of contracts with
the Chinese government.
“The changes have occurred in the oil markets which Kuwait used to export crude oil through “C & F” system made
these markets almost closed. Accordingly, KPC sought to
acquire new investment opportunities,” noted he.
He further added that China is our new market; therefore
KPC has put it on the top of the list of its priorities; thus,
this contract is considered one of the most important crude
oil contracts for the corporation.”

International Marketing Sector at KPC, received a delegation from Brazilian-based Vale Company, which is considered one of the biggest Brazilian companies in terms of consuming sulfur locally, on Thursday August 21, 2014 in the

Vale Co to provide the latter with sulfur, is classified among
the contracts of “challenge”, as it managed to open new
markets for the Kuwaiti petroleum products. He added that
KPC, thanks to such contract, is considered the first Gulf
company that penetrates the oil markets of Latin America.
He emphasized that such contract, which was signed with
Vale Co in April, 2013, is the fruit of diligent efforts exerted
devotedly by the sector’s employees who managed to convince the representatives of Vale with the high quality of the
Kuwaiti products and its fair prices.
The visit is in response to an invitation submitted to Vale Co

Breast cancer:
Prevention & Control
Breast cancer is on top of the list of cancers which hit women in both the developed and developing countries; however, its percentage increases ostensibly in the developing
countries due to the constructional expansion and the unhealthy ways of nutrition as well as the unhealthy lifestyle
which people adopt.
Breast cancer is common among women more than men
due to the numerous disorders that take place in woman’s
hormones. Although 90% of infection with breast cancer is
benign tumor, the remaining percentage is crucial as it jeopardizes a considerable number of women all over the world.
In addition, scientific studies revealed that the percentage
of infecting with such disease for men and women is 1 to
200 respectively. Moreover, one woman among ten is endangered with such disease.

procedures for this awesome disease.
It is worth mentioning that genes are considered key reason
for being infected with such disease particularly women who
have family history with the disease. Therefore, it is necessary to prioritize the medical follow-up periodically besides
adopting a proper healthy diet. There are also other reasons
that increase the possibility of being infected with breast cancer for women whether those who have family history with

women, neglecting the natural breastfeeding, obesity and facing radiation, the period of women which appears before the
age of 12 or having it after 50 are key reasons that increase the
opportunity of infection with the disease. Add to this the bad
habits of nutrition particularly the meals which are full of fats.

it whether through medical treatment, surgical interference,
radiation, chemical or hormone treatment.
