Targeted Grammar Skills: parts of speech, common pronoun errors, verb tense (participles and gerunds), adverbs vs. adjectives, colon,

*Non-fiction articles will be thematically paired with literature throughout the year.
Students may be required to do outside, independent reads as well.
Vocabulary acquisition and development will be ongoing.
