TUESDAY NIGHT MENS GOLF LEAGUE

TUESDAY NIGHT MENS GOLF LEAGUE
2016 SEASON – RULES & INFORMATION
(LEAGUE DUES ARE $40 – MUST BE PAID BY WEEK #3)
TEAMS & MATCHES
A. Each team will have a number one man and a number two man. The number
one man will be the man with the lower handicap. The number one man will
be determined from week to week. In case of the same handicaps, the man
who was number one the previous week will remain number one.
B. All matches will be played on the scheduled nights, unless both teams agree to
play prior to the scheduled night. Making up a rain postponement will be the
only circumstance whereby a match can be played after its regularly
scheduled night: unless arrangements can be made with teams in question and
league secretary.
C. The league secretary for playing that night by 5:45 PM will make
postponements because of rain.
1. There is no rule that prohibits teams from playing in the rain if mutual
agreement is reached between both teams. Also, if the weather clears
after the match has been postponed, it is up to the teams concerned to
decide whether or not to play
2. If the weather causes the club to decide not to allow carts on the
course, the teams have a one-week grace period to make-up the match.
Teams may play on the scheduled night if both teams decide to walk
the course.
D. Matches postponed because of rain must be made up prior to the next weeks
match. Failure to do so will result in both teams receiving zero points for the
uncompleted match.
E. In the event of rain once the match begins: If five (5) holes are completed, the
match is official. The balance of the holes will be forced based on the results
of the completed holes.
a. All games must be made up by the following Friday night, at
the latest.
F. FORFEIT TIME IS 6:00 PM A team not present by this time
automatically forfeits the match to the other team, unless other arrangements
are made.

1. In case of Forfeit, or scheduled Ghost team match the team
present will play against the “Ghost Par Plus 5” handicap to
determine holes won. Team present would receive six (6) points
automatically for team effort and (6) points automatically for
individual effort. (12 points total automatically).
2. Teams playing the “Ghost Par Plus 5” for a REGULARLY
SCHEDULED match will receive (6) team points automatically,
and will play to determine all other points.
3. If both teams agree to play at a given tee time, a forfeit occurs 30
minutes after this time if a team is not present. A team with one
member present must tee off with one member or that member and a
sub, 30 minutes after the agreed tee time.
H. It is each teams responsibility to get their own subs. Subs shall pay regular
greens fees and only subs playing on fun nights will be eligible for fun night
dinner. Individual sub points do not get credited to regular team members’
individual points, only teams points are credited.
1. Non-league substitutes handicap will be figured on an 80% basis. The
handicap will be calculated after the round is completed and will be
used for that match only.
2. The number one man and the number two man shall be determined
after the sub’s handicap is calculated at the end of the match.
I. A team shall consist of at least one regular team member. Teams must play
against opponents even when playing another night than the regular scheduled
night.
1. If only one member is available to golf, and no sub is used, the team
member present can only compete for his individual strokes and hole
points. Therefore, the maximum points he could win would be (12).
However, the team who has both members will calculate both their
scores based on the score of the one opponent.

is used, the full team present will play against one player
opponent for individual points.

calculate their scores as normal based on the score of the one
player competing against their regular opponent, and the other
