Write down the word part of the day and its definition. Now, brainstorm and write down as many words as you can that contain that word part. 2. Transition Notes Point of View Refers to two (2) things: T A K E N O T E S 1. “The Persons” = 1st, 2nd, 3rd (what perspective is the story told from?) 2. “The People” = (the specific character that is telling the story) Easily abbreviated POV 1st person POV Writing from the “I” point of view “I picked up the ball and threw it.” T A K E N O T E S Video games = FPS (First Person Shooter) Bioshock Typically, the narrator is a character in the story probably protagonist 2nd person POV Writing from the “you” point of view “You picked up the ball and threw it.” T A K E N O T E S Rarely used in fiction 3rd person POV Writing from the “he/she/it” point of view T A K E N O T E S “He picked up the ball and threw it.” Most commonly used Can be character in story, or not: 1. Subjective: narrator is limited in knowledge (sometimes unreliable) 2.
