1. Users using a dedicated computer

New SAP Logon Procedure via the SAP Gui/Logon Pad:
1. Users using a dedicated computer
If a user is on a dedicated computer assigned to them, they will not see any login prompt screen. They
will be logged on to the SAP system directly without the need to enter any ID or password.
First the appropiate system needs to be selected and double-clicked. Once done, the user will be directly
logged onto the system as shown below with a message ‘SNC logon by ………………….’.
2. Users using a shared computer (including computers in conference
rooms)
If a user is using a shared computer, they will see the below logon screen prompt. ‘Username’ is your
Sargento Network ID and ‘Password’ is your Network Password. Although the prefix ‘SARGENTO\’ is
auto populated, this is not mandatory for a successful login. Correct ID and password are the only
requirements.
Once the correct password is entered the user will be logged into the SAP system exactly the same way
as shown above.
Scenario: What if your User-ID is not the one displayed in the screen? (‘bibaruah’ in this example)
Change the Username to your Network ID, enter the Network password and click ‘Ok’, as shown below
(‘sijain’ in this example)
Note: The prefix ‘SARGENTO\’ in the Username field is optional. So, both the options below will work.
