Hazardous Materials Business Plan Inventory Exemptions The following hazardous substances and quantities have been exempted from the inventory provisions of the Hazardous Materials Business Plan [H&SC Chapter 6.95 under H&SC 25503.5. (c) (2)] based on the findings that due to the quantities involved, the rural nature of Amador County, and the common use of the hazardous substances in both business and residential settings throughout the county, the substances exempted would not pose a present or potential danger to the environment or to human health and safety if the hazardous substance was released into the environment. Refrigeration Freon in Building AC systems – (fluorocarbons, chlorocarbons, chlorofluorocarbons) Propylene Glycol (winery chillers) Oxy-Acetylene Compressed Gases (less than 1000 cubic feet total compressed gases) Compressed Inert Gases Carbon Dioxide for soft drink machines (200 pounds/1700 cubic feet) Inert Gases (Compressed Air, Argon, Carbon Dioxide, Helium, Krypton, Neon, Nitrogen, Xenon or mixtures, 6000 cubic feet total) Compressed Air used by emergency responders Building Materials Cement - Less than 10,000 pounds or 1,190 gallons Stucco - Less than 10,000 pounds or 1,190 gallons Plastering Compounds- Less than 10,000 pounds or 1,190 gallons Cold Patch Asphalt- Less than 10,000 pounds or 1,190 gallons Roofing Tar- Less than 10,000 pounds or 1,190 gallons Diatomaceous Earth- Less than 10,000 pounds or 1,190 gallons Propane Propane used for on premise heating, cooling, or cooking (1000 gallons total) Propane used for on premise standby generator (1000 gallons total)
