Mango Crop Report - National Mango Board

The National Mango Board is working with organizations in the mango-producing countries to get projections of what
will be shipped to the U.S. This document contains information from countries that are currently shipping or planning
to ship in the near future to the U.S. and does not represent the entire year. The crop report document will be
updated as we receive new information from each country. Other valuable tools include (these are links):

Mexico Crop Information



The Mexican season began in January and will run until October with a projection of approximately 72 million
boxes.
Projections will be updated as new information becomes available.
Mexico’s main varieties are Tommy Atkins (38%), Ataulfo (26%), Kent (20%), Haden (7%), Keitt (8%), and Other
(1%).
Volume on week ending 6/3/17
 Volume shipped from Mexico was approximately 2,791,810 boxes for a total of 33,077,639 boxes for the season.
 During the same week last year, volume shipped from Mexico was approximately 2,922,708 boxes for a
total of 30,996,118 boxes.

Guatemala Crop Information


The Guatemalan season began in March and ran until May.

The Haitian season began in March and will run until September with a projection of approximately 2 million
boxes.
Haiti’s main variety is Madame Francis (100%).

 Volume shipped from Haiti was approximately 205,020 boxes for a total of 1,227,363 boxes for the season.
 During the same week last year, volume shipped from Haiti was approximately 93,655 boxes
for a total of 1,289,275 boxes.
