WHAT’S HAPPENING IN OUR CLASSROOMS Pre-Kindergarten 2nd Grade 6th Grade April brings showers and so much to do in Pre-K. Our youngest Bernardians are busy learning about Easter and the promise of New Life. They are busy planting seeds as they learn more about plants and taking care of the Earth. Learning about clocks and money is also on their Pre-K agenda this month! Second graders are learning about our country’s government and how our leaders are elected. Our 2nd graders are also talking about how we work together to solve problems in our community. The love of great novels continues… our 6th graders have embarked on another beloved young adult novel, “The Bridge to Terabithia.” Students are also beginning their journey to ancient Rome. Ask a 6th grader why the phrase “Beware the Ides of March” (March 15) was an important warning for Julius Caesar. Kindergarten The kindergartners finally reached their 100th day of school! What a fun-filled day for all… its amazing all that can be done with “100.” Along with all this fun and excitement, the children learned about The Stations of the Cross.
