The Arby
How many words can you make from the letters in the
wheel? Each word must contain the hub letter N. Can you
find a 9-letter word and at least 25 other words of four letters or more avoiding proper nouns?

It’s worth noting that wild pig excrement is not

with the pigs,” said Cathy Holtslander of Beyond

The Moooooooo-mmy
In China, cows are being engineered to produce
milk intended to replace human breast milk.
Chinese scientists introduced human genes into
bovine embryos in 2011, creating dairy cows
whose milk “is identical to the human variety
and has the same immune-boosting and antibacterial qualities as breast milk.”
The product is still undergoing tests, but are under criticism from animal welfare advocates. During two experiments led by the Chinese researchers, 10 of the 42 calves died shortly after
birth. Six more died within six months. A

Manager’s Musing
The annual flowers are in their tubs at the entrance together with
our hearty hanging baskets. The area is awash with colour and
fragrance. Many residents have stunning balcony/patio gardens.
Forming a beautiful picture just outside the picture window in
the Bistro we have….the Arbourside Arbour. This beautiful feature is
constructed of B.C. yellow cedar milled nearby in Delta. It has been
stained a golden honey colour to protect it from the elements. With
time we hope our climbing wisteria will give shade, spring colour, and
the scent of blooms.
May our arbour’s welcoming image serve as a symbolic representation
of the welcoming nature of our residents, volunteers and employees.
We are all very pleased that you have made Arbourside your home.

Did you know?
Keeping suite carpets clean is a tenant responsibility. The condition of
carpets after vacating a suite is one of the most often disputed areas
that the Residential Tenancy Branch rules on.
For most tenants all that is required is having a professional cleaner restore the carpets to the state they were in when you moved in. This is
done upon move out and during your tenancy as needed. The cost to
have this done usually ranges between $90-$125.
On occasion you may have to “spot clean” to remove spills etc. It is
highly recommended that you ask for the assistance of the Housekeeping department. Treating these problems yourself is fraught with problems as many store-bought cleaning agents contain bleach or ammonia
that can permanently damage the carpet fibers. If this should happen
you could be responsible to replace the affected area at a substantial
cost.
If you need to react immediately dilute the stained area with plain water and cover with an absorbent cloth or towel awaiting professional
help. Responding this way could save you from significant additional
expenses.
