In 1901, two Italian immigrants, Giovanni Ravarino & Giuseppi Freschi, opened a grocery store in
St. Louis, Missouri. Soon they became known for their outstanding pasta. So well-known that by 1922,
they had become world-respected large-scale pasta manufacturers—even winning the coveted Gold Medal
for excellent quality pasta at the Milan, Italy exposition.
American Italian Pasta Company added Ravarino & Freschi Pasta to its family of brands in 2001 and
today continues the time-honored commitment to excellent-quality pasta created by Giovanni and Giuseppi.
