Congratulations to all of the students who were selected for the first annual 910 All-Carolina Select Choir at Wingate University, conducted by Dr. Andre
Thomas. Below is some information that will help you prepare for the
weekend. After reading the information below, if you have any other

Registration fees
$35.00 per student includes two meals and t-shirt (no fee for teachers)
Teachers, please register your students online by December 16th. If you send a check (one per
school please), postmark your payment no later than December 16th payable to: Wingate
University Choirs. To register, go to: http://www.9-10acselect.com

Registrations will not be accepted after December 16th.
Dress: For the concert, singers are expected to wear black and white attire. Tuxedos are
encouraged (not required). An alternative is white shirt with black pants. Women should wear
black dresses or a white blouse and long skirt or pants (skirts must be below the knee).
Conduct: Students are expected to demonstrate respect during the weekend. This includes being
punctual to rehearsals, refraining from talking during rehearsals, and giving attention to the
leaders. The use of alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, and tobacco products are prohibited.
Health form: All students are required to turn in a completed health form when they arrive.
Teachers should make an additional copy to have with them during the weekend.
Recording: White Sound Studios will record the concert and order forms will be available
during weekend.
Repertoire: J. W. Pepper of Winston-Salem will have the music in stock beginning December
3rd. Ask for 9-10 All-Carolina Select Choir at Wingate University. The J. W. Pepper item
number for the entire packet is 10495122. The individual numbers are listed in parenthesis.

Black folder: Please bring a black folder and a pencil.
Rehearsal tracks and preparedness: There are rehearsal tracks on the website (http://www.910acselect.com). Please be sure you are prepared before you arrive on January 30th (In other
words, know the notes and rhythms, but it is not necessary to be memorized). Poorly prepared
students may not be allowed to participate.
Hotel recommendations: There is a brand new Holiday Inn Express (2505 Roosevelt Blvd
Monroe, NC 28110) near the Monroe Hampton Inn (2368 Roland Dr, Monroe, NC 28110).
Inclement weather: In case of inclement weather, please check the website.
