APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2016 STUDENT COUNCIL – ALL STUDENTS – AYUSH SHARMA/MS SIMPSON
Applications for the 2016 Student Council are now open! This is a group open to any student in years 9-12, and is a gives you
the opportunity to get involved with events and projects both in and out of the school, work with the prefects, and also gain
useful leadership experience. Grab an application from the main office, and make sure to fill it out and get it back in by the end
of school on Friday the 11th of March. Successful applicants will be announced and presented to the school in their respective
assemblies.
LIFESKILLS PROGRAMME – YEAR 12 GIRLS - CAREERS DEPT
Youth Service West will run a Life Skills programme for eight weeks each Wednesday at Rutherford College from 1.30pm –
3.10pm starting in Term 2. The workshops are a great way to build good relationships, grow in confidence and learn how to
manage stress. Topics will include goal setting, communication, self-esteem plus more. Places are limited to 10 girls. If you
would like to find out more, please see Mrs Reid or Mrs Black in the Careers Department today.
