Clarecastle Community Development Ltd (CCDL) is a non-profit-making
company that was established at the beginning of 2012. Its main objective is to
promote the educational, cultural, social and economic well-being of all the
members of the community of Clarecastle and its environs.
The aim of producing the Clarecastle Community Directory is to make everyone
in the community aware of and to promote local businesses and organisations
within our community. Where possible, we as a community should endeavour
to support local businesses, organisations and activities to help Clarecastle grow
and become even more vibrant physically, socially and economically.

Clarecastle GAA Club
In existence since 1887, Clarecastle GAA Club remains an integral centre of the
entire community, one of the most successful dual clubs in the county, having
won championship titles at every grade in hurling & football.
Currently we cater for almost 50 teams between hurling, football, camogie and
ladies football, providing unrivalled facilities (5 pitches, dressing & meeting
rooms, ball wall, and new indoor training facility) in the heart of the village.
Children begin playing at age 5 or 6, with 4 teams at Under 6,8 10,12,14,16,18, as
wellas adult level (3 hurling, 2 football 2 camogie &1 adult ladies football team.
