One change proposed is to increase per player fee by $25 from $90 to $115. Increase needed to support: higher DOC salary, fund SCU lunch/recess program at grade schools, Keeper Training, increase in SC light use fees, increase in scholarship applications, equipment due to age group changes, school field maintenance fees, and field improvements fund. Budget approved with agreement that per player fee remains $90 for the coming Fall 2016 season and will be $115 in the Spring 2017 season. Needs to be communicated to parents 2 San Carlos United Soccer Club Meeting Minutes 14-Jun-2016, 6:00pm, San Carlos Youth Center 7. Field Report – Barbara and Jon Thanks to Jon and Barbara for great job managing fields this past spring. Fields will not be lined until SBTB Google sheet is available with details for summer camps. Jon will send out link. 8. Referee Report – Rich Lack of feedback from coaches and parents. Rich would like to get feedback. Looking for feedback about where they can improve. Also looking for positive feedback that will keep adult refs in San Carlos, and help propel youth refs forward Ideally would like to have a refresher program for youth refs prior to SBTB. Reminder to teams who do scrimmages prior to the season, good opportunity for youth refs to practice/unpaid. 9. Director of Coaching report – Nick Attended CYSA meeting, sales pitch to play in CCSL. Norcal is allowing “pop-up” teams, teams can go to the city and get field space. Nick’s personal perspective, Norcal has been more progressive. Movement across teams has been confusing. It has been difficult making these changes as we try to do it across a broader scale. The next step is to transfer information to the new team snap sites. Old sites will still be accessible by the manager. Each age group will have one teamsnap site. This also has to happen on GotSoccer – we need to figure out how teams will be migrated. Tryouts were successful. We also had kids come from the ? Club summer camps happening in August. Norcal DOC course – good insight into high-level youth programs. Good opportunity to meet and chat with other DOCS. 10. Events – Debbie Freeman Have about 200 shirts to sell AI Mgrs: Shirt Sales ? @ SSBTB? Discussion on getting sponsors for the club – like AYSO. Can we get a sponsor coordinator? Should we have SCU Club water bottles with sponsors for each season. Use proceeds for fields and scholarships?
