Example 1: Write the equation of the line through the points (­5, 8) and (3, 2).
You Try: Write the equation of a line that goes through the points (3, 5) and (2, ­1).

Example 2: Graph the equation 2x – 3y = 9
You Try: Determine the best method to use to graph each equation:
A. 3x + 2y = 8

Ex3: Write the equation of the line that is parallel to 12x – 2y = ­4 and goes through the point (1, ­3).
