The Pyrenees Range stretches over an area of 450 km, from the Atlantic Ocean in the west to the Mediterranean in the east, and acts as a natural border line between Spain and France. While wandering in the Pyrenees Mountains, we meet with alpine scenery, lakes, streams, waterfalls and cliffs- all of which form a breathtaking background to the particular cultures which developed under isolation - an inevitable part of life in these mountains. The people who lived in this area were cut off from the rest of the world, and each other, due to the difficulty of traveling over the mountains, and therefore developed their own folklore, customs and dialect languages, adding even more interest to the spectacular scenery.
