Omni Distribution Inc. Explosive Products Division 800-277-6664 www.omniexplosives.com [email protected] Dear Customers, Friends and Associates I would like to wish a Happy New Year to all of Omni's past, present and future customers and associates. One of my New Year's resolutions is to start sending out brief emails to everyone on a more regular basis. Omni has been in business for about 25 years so we have learned a thing or two about explosives that we will be glad to pass on to our customers. Therefore, in addition to telling you about new products, etc., I plan to also provide tips and other information about explosives in general. We get many of the same questions year after year. This tells me that there must be many others who are wondering about the same thing. Here are a few of the subjects: how to initiate sheet explosives with det cord, what to do about dynamite that is a couple of years old, net explosive weights and how to calculate them, R.E. factors, etc. I would also like to establish a dialogue with our customers. Just as I previously described, answering one person's question in this email may solve a problem for many. The ideas for many of my new products come directly from my customers' inquiries. We are always willing to work with anyone in law enforcement or industry on unique and challenging problems. If we can't help you, I'll bet we know someone who can. FAILED CHRISTMAS DAY BOMBING I am very disturbed on several levels concerning the failed Christmas Day bombing attempt on Northwest flight 253. The passengers who acted bravely to subdue the would-be bomber should be commended for their quick response. However, we are very lucky they got the chance to do so. If the suspect had made it past security with a real detonator, the results would have been much different. My real concern is that the next bomber will hide their explosives internally. Watch the first part of the movie "Hitman" and you will see what I mean. I plan to do some testing with PETN and some other chemicals in the next couple of weeks. I would like to share what I learn, but only with those of you in the Military or Law Enforcement. As we are trying to refine our email list, now would be a good time to send me a note with your current contact information. C4 SALE. (EXPIRES MARCH 15, 2010) I can hardly believe I am saying this, but we have too much C4 on hand. For me, that's like Paris Hilton saying she has too many shoes. A few months ago, we had to buy 10,000 pounds to get the best price. Our end-of-the-year inventory showed that we still have over 8,000 pounds. We are offering a 25% discount on bulk, blocks and K9 C4. If you want to purchase 60 pounds or more, call us and we will work out an even better deal. (Note: We only sell C4 and other plastic explosives to Government Agencies, Government Contractors and approved Federally Licensed K9 trainers.) Base price reference: Omni's September 2009 Price list. Call or email for the password to the price list on our website. Please see the coupon below for details. Thanks again for your support over the years. We are looking forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Bill & Danielle Nixon Omni Distribution Inc. Explosive Products Division
