Ordering Notecards of John James Audubon’s Birds of America
The University of Pittsburgh Library System (ULS) is pleased to provide notecards featuring reproductions from
John James Audubon’s double elephant folio edition of the Birds of America. The notecards are based on highresolution digital images of the original work of art owned by the University of Pittsburgh. The digital images can
be viewed at http://audubon.pitt.edu.
The notecards represent a set of some of our favorite birds. Each set consists of twelve 5” x 7” blank notecards
with matching white envelopes. Each set will have one of each of the following birds:
Wild Turkey (1), Carolina Parrot (26), Painted Finch (53), Passenger Pigeon (62), Pileated Woodpecker (111), Eastern Bluebird (113),
Snowy Owl (121), Ruffed Grouse (41), Roseate Spoonbill (321), Blue Crane or Heron (307), Mallard Duck (221), Scarlet Ibis (397)

The price of the notecards includes shipping and handling (within the continental U.S.). The ULS can accept
payment in the form of credit card, check or money order. If you wish to pay by Visa or MasterCard, please call
(412) 648-3223 to arrange payment. Checks or money orders should be made payable to the University of
Pittsburgh. Orders will not be processed until payment is received and cleared. Please print out this order form
