Visit the infamous vaults hidden under the South Bridge in Edinburgh’s Old Town. Hear tales of how the poor
and unfortunate lived in these former slums. Explore these dimly lit vaults, once the haunt of criminals, body
snatchers and witches alike!
Each vault has stories of crime, disease and death and lots more, with which your guide shall enlighten you with all
the gory details. You will see a genuine witchcraft temple, recently used by the “Source Coven of the Blue
Dragon” and you will enter their former temple, and learn why it was no longer safe for them to practise their
craft in that vault. DARE you step inside the infamous stone circle?
Join our costumed guide on a journey into Edinburgh’s grisly past, then as you walk through the old wynds and
closes hear tales of the unsavoury characters who once stalked the old town. What happened during the burning
times? Where are the victims of the great plague buried? Closer than you think!
Then you will enter our 1700’s underground network of vaults, still in their original condition with stalactites and
stalagmites and where each stone, if it could speak, would echo with some of old Edinburgh’s bloodiest and cruel
history. In addition to our history laden vaults, you will visit our museum of torture with some instruments from
Nuremburg and Bamburg castles in Germany from the late 1500’s and early 1600’s.
Join us if you dare! This is strictly an “Adults Only” tour. We will take you on a short journey through some of
the cobbled streets in the “Old Town”, where we will fire your imagination about the infamous characters that
once roamed these areas, leaving behind a legacy of legend and notoriety.
Before entering our network of haunted underground vaults, you shall visit our Torture Exhibition to see the
instruments from the “Burning Times”, used to extract confessions, and punish the unfortunate. Then bravely
enter our vaults where you will see a recently used Wiccan Temple, our cursed stone circled vault (as featured on
Most Haunted Live) and the Legendary Haunted Vault.

Moonlit Gravestones & Haunted 1700’s Underground Vaults await you! Edinburgh’s Old Town is steeped in
Folklore, Legends & Myths, and an abundance of evil.
Your guide shall take you to Greyfriars Graveyard, home of the famous Greyfriars Bobby – nice dog – who had
cocked his leg where rotting corpses lay below and whose names were made famous in many novels and history
books, and sent chills down many a reader. Then on to the infamous and haunted Niddry Street underground
vaults, probably the scariest place in the world! Once home to the destitute, prostitutes, criminals, witches and a
hellfire club, and is possessed by something evil that awaits you.

Our paranormally active and haunted network of 1700’s underground vaults in Edinburgh’s Old Town can be
hired for overnight vigils, ghost hunts and film locations. They have featured on countless television programmes
such as “Scariest places on Earth”, “Most Haunted”, Most Haunted Live”, “BBC, STV, and many European
television programmes.
For overnight vigils/ghost hunts, these are limited to 30 persons excluding investigative staff, with a deposit
required to secure a booking date when being confirmed, plus a copy of a public liability cover. We also offer to
promote Vigils/Ghost Hunts on our premises on our social media platforms, free of charge.
