topographical map - uses contour lines to show the shape
and elevation of the lands surface.
elevation - is a vertical distance, or height, above sea level
contour line - a line on a topographical map that connects
points of equal elevation
contour interval - the distance in elevation between contour
lines
base - the bottom of a mountain
peak - the highest point of a mountain
sea level - where the ocean meets the land, zero elevation

as a mountain.
