Candidates, Prior to attending your Ordeal Weekend, you should go to the Lodge Website: www.lodge70.org,
download and print the Candidates Guide Book and bring it with you to camp. You can use this booklet
as a reference to prepare for your weekend. You can expect that your Ordeal weekend will be a
memorable experience and one you may never forget during your lifetime. You should make the most
of your weekend by observing, listening, and understanding the meaning of the ceremonies you will
attend, as well as the cheerful service you and everyone else will provide during the day. After your
Ordeal, you should take the time to reflect on your experience and understand why our Order is called
the Brotherhood of Cheerful Service. Your attendance at the Inductions weekend starts Friday night and will conclude around 10:00 a.m. on
Sunday morning after Camp clean-up. You are expected to be at Camp for the entire weekend. Check-in starts on Friday night of your Inductions Weekend at 6pm at the Camp Headquarters Building.
You should plan to arrive at Camp on Friday night no later than 8 p.m. A Friday night supper is
provided between 6-7:30pm in the camp Dining Hall. Do not forget to bring your medical form with you
to camp. The medical form requires the signature of your parent or guardian, but does not require a
physician’s visit. After registration and set up of your tent upon your arrival at camp, all candidates
will meet in the Council Ring at the time designated on the weekend schedule. The weekend
concludes on Sunday morning with breakfast, worship service and camp clean-up. The Lodge also
invites your parents to attend a meeting with the Lodge Adviser at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday morning in the
Dining Hall so they can learn of the Order of the Arrow and your various opportunities in the OA. Each
