Our Lenten Prayer
“Celebrating our Community, Honoring our
Heritages” Join with neighbors, family, and
friends as we celebrate springtime in our Buechel
and Hikes Point neighborhoods. The Francis Center
of St. John Paul II church is hosting a community
dinner on Sunday, April 23, 5-8 pm. Held in
Gallagher Hall, 3044 Hikes Lane. Baked turkey
will be provided. Please bring a dish to share;
hopefully representing your family’s heritage. Feel
free to bring a small table decoration or display
depicting your country of origin. RSVP to
[email protected] or 459-2151 ext. 12.
Dear Lord
During this holy season of Lent,
remind us these are the days of
salvation. Help us to make it through
our difficulties, and the trials and
temptations of everyday life.
Help keep us from evil and help us
avoid the pain and hurt sin causes.
Remind us to be prayerful and to
reflect upon the great sacrifice
Jesus made for each one of us.
Amen

Dare to Care Volunteers Needed
We are running short of volunteers for the Dare to
Care program. What is most needed are people with
a strong back that are able to help Billy set up and
tear down tables and lift heavy bags. You would
need to be at the gym on the second Tuesday of the
month (4/11) at 8:30 am. The truck generally comes
around 9:00 am. The food is unloaded and distributed
and we usually finish around 10:30. We distribute in
all weather so dress appropriately. We only cancel
in extreme weather conditions.
