Leadership opportunity at the 2017 CL2N 4-H Camp
4-H Camp is a great way for teens to learn leadership and encourage participation from younger members. It is also a
fantastic opportunity to meet new friends and to make lasting memories.
We are preparing for the 2017 CL2N (Clearwater/Latah/Lewis/Nez Perce/ Idaho) 4-H Camp, to be held July 7-10, at
beautiful Camp Wooten, near Pomeroy, WA. If you are currently in the 8th grade or older you can only attend camp as
a teen leader. If you would like to be a teen leader at camp, please return the enclosed application to your
County Extension Office by Wednesday, May 31, 2017. There are a limited number of positions for teen
leaders. We encourage you to return your application to your Extension Office as soon as possible.
Teens play a large part in planning and conducting this camp. 4-H Cabin Leaders and Group Leaders must
attend Teen Leader Training, and satisfactorily demonstrate their ability to accept the responsibility of a
4-H teen leader. Exceptions to this rule must be pre-approved by the camp board.
To qualify as a Group or Cabin Leader, you must currently be in (just finishing) the 8th grade or older, and be available
to attend the teen leader training this year. Your position as a group or cabin leader will be assigned by your county
office. You will receive notification of your position prior to the teen training.
Don't forget to mark your calendars!
The Teen Leader Training will be held Thursday, June 22nd at the Nez Perce County
Fairgrounds in Lewiston. We will start at 9:00 am and wrap up by 3:30 pm.

Remember to return your application by May 31st. Also, remind your reference to turn in the recommendation form by
May 31st. Late applications will be put on a waiting list. Incomplete applications or applications without references will
not be considered. Teens will be notified by Monday, June 5th if they are chosen to attend camp.
