From the M25/A3 junction 10
Continue southwest down the A3. Ignore the junctions left for Ockham
and Burpham.
Turn left for central Guildford on the A320 (this is at the end of a 3-lane
section).
At the bottom of the slip road turn left and then right at the traffic lights.
At the next lights turn left, you are aiming for the A281 which goes towards
Horsham.
Continue straight ahead through two roundabouts and several sets of lights
until you see the Friary shopping centre on your left.
From the left hand lane follow the A281 gently round to the left (do not
take the initial left slip road into the bus station).
In a mile the road goes over a railway line with pedestrian lights; go straight
on at the next roundabout.
In about a mile you reach Bramley; go straight on at the roundabout and
through the village until the 30mph limit changes to 40mph. After just over
a mile there is a turning left (signposted to Cranleigh) at the bottom of a
long, gentle hill. Take this left turn; the 40mph limit ends in 300 yards.
This road crosses a disused railway bridge and drops to a narrow bridge
across the river (give-way to on-coming traffic).
In another half mile turn right at the roundabout at Gaston Gate.
In 200 yards there is a road to the left signposted Cranleigh School - it is
best to ignore this and continue down the main road (B2128).
The road goes through Rowly (40mph limit) until a roundabout is reached
after a mile.
Go straight on at the roundabout and in 30 yards turn left down a narrow
slip road.
This should leave the Common on your right. In 300 yards go left at a
shallow T junction; the School is then another 300 yards on your left.
