led by chairperson Michelle Corsi,
continues to aid the practice. The next
2 meetings at the Practice are on the
6th July and 14th September between
6-7pm. There is always a Doctor and
our Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Mary
Upson present at the meeting. We
value this group and their opinions
very much – please come and join in. If


Text Messages
SMS text confirmations and reminders
of your appointments have begun. If
your appointment is no longer required
message back CANCEL which will
delete your appointment
automatically. We have noticed a
significant reduction in the number of
patients who do not attend their
appointments.
**IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO THE
PRACTICE TO HAVE YOUR UP TO DATE
MOBILE PHONE NUMBER AND EMAIL
ADDRESS **
Car Parking
We are aware the parking at the
practice is very limited; unfortunately
we cannot increase the number of
spaces available however, if you are
able to, cycling or walking to the
surgery would be helpful.
Electronic Prescribing
We now use Electronic Prescribing
enabling a more convenient service for
our patients. Inform your chosen
pharmacy that you would like to use
this service then let us know which
pharmacy you have nominated. All
you have to do then is to request your
medication in the usual way. We will
issue your medication and send it
electronically to your chosen pharmacy
who will dispense it and have it ready
for you to collect. Patients who are
using this service have said how
convenient it is.
Road Works
Antibiotics
Please be aware that road works are
planned for the Tamworth Road
Railway Bridge during the school
holidays as this may affect your
journey to the surgery.
In the past year we have been making
a significant effort to reduce the
number of antibiotics prescribed. We
are also following local guidelines on
the type of antibiotics used and the
length of time you need to take them.
With your help we have succeeded in
hitting these targets and your
awareness of the use of antibiotics is
really making a difference. For more
information on antibiotic awareness

of those hours please email them on
