Procedure for Admission:
Students can enter at any level. Applications must be made on the official Application for Enrolment
form, copies of which are available on the website (www.southauckland.school.nz), or from the school
office at 198 Mahia Road, Wattle Downs, Auckland, or electronically from
[email protected]
After receiving the application, a time may be arranged for both the student and the parent(s)/care
givers to view the school and ask any questions.
Please include the following with the completed application form:

A copy of the child’s last school report.
A passport sized photo.
The Student Information and Parent Information forms.

The information in the application form i s being collected for the purpose of assessing this
application for admission for South Auckland Middle School and if the application is successful,
administration of the school and maintenance of its records. Applicants and school families have the
right to view and request correction of any of that information.
Please note
The purpose of the Student and Parent Information Pages that follow will not be used in
determining eligibility to attend the school. They are in order to help provide information so the
best education opportunities can be provided for your child.
Enrolment process
South Auckland Middle School operates a two-tier enrolment process. The first date for notification
of acceptance is September 1st. If applications exceed positions available on that date, we will hold
a ballot. Priority will be given to siblings of current or past students unless there is a sound,
evidence-based reason not to do so. Beyond that date, we will accept applications on a first-in-firstserved basis until the roll is full.
Our Community Liaison Manager and the Office Manager will be available to help parents and
whānau complete application forms if necessary.
