The American Colonists often used the phrase “no taxation without representation” to express their criticism of how the British governed the American Colonists. A. Explain what the American colonists meant by “not taxation without representation.” B. Using specific examples, explain the conflicts between the American Colonists and the British government on this issue. 3. There were many conflicts that were the causes of the American Revolution. One way that artists often voice their feelings about a subject is to use political cartoons. A. Analyze the cartoon above and choose four (4) symbols that the artist has used to describe events about the American Revolution. B. Describe using historical detail what these symbols that you choose in part A are representing and what part this played in the American Revolution.
