c o m e m o r a t e M & Y DAY,1956. The special issue will be on. sale from
86th April onwards and will contain feature articles dealing
with the importance of Hay Day as a w o r k e r s ’.festival.
The present vicious attacks on the South African workingclass lends particular significance to this y e a r ’s Kay Day.

know, it is only through its own strength,militancy and unity

and colour;
To assist you ond your organisation to extend the hand of
friendship to your fellow workers on the occasion of this greatest
of all working-class festivals, we shall be pleased to receive
MAY DAY MESSAGES OF GREETINGS at the special rate of 10 /- per
single column inch.( There are approximately 35 words to the inch.)
The text of your May Day Greetings should reach our Cape
Town offices not later than MONDAY, 23rd a PRIL.

possible of your intention to insert a May Day message (giving
the approximate size) so that we may make arrangements to reserve
