The hand position is electrically controlled in order to guarantee the exact time display.

To display time, the dial is associated with a clock movement.
The clock movement is controlled by a master clock or is directly synchronised by a GPS or a
radio antenna.

For any tower clock installation (public building, churches, schools...), the dial and hands are the most visible parts.
Thus, they must be choosen in accordance with building architecture.
