Fishing rods, one quite strong
Flathead bait, including worm, book, sunglasses and wallet
A big fishing basket - big enough for three people
Bucket, full of sea weeds
(THE ANGLER stands on the riverbank. Beside him is a huge
fishing basket and his tackle. The four fish sit or swim
about in the river.)
THE ANGLER What a beautiful day! A perfect day for fishing!
(He sets up his fishing rods.)
ANGEL FISH PUFFER FISH
I’m Angel Fish
I’m good and pure
A washer-upper
And a homework doer.
GOLD FISH I’m Gold Fish
And I have this funny
Need to get rich
And make more money.
FLATHEAD I’m just a flathead
And I spend my time
Um... swimming around...
(The other fish glare at FLATHEAD.)
PUFFER FISH Silly fish.
ANGEL FISH Oh, I wish there was some work I could be doing.
