Kevanna Park News June 2015 Join the KPNA Board It's a party! Every year in June the Kevanna Park Neighborhood Association (KPNA) holds elections for board members. All positions will be open: • Chair - leads the board • Co-Chair - also leads the board and backs up the chair • Secretary - takes notes and records decisions • Treasurer - manages KPNA funds • Newsletter editor - publishes the newsletter • Visioning Committee -- NEW -- a small committee for longer-term planning. End of July (date TBD) KPNA Block Party with a Live DJ 7:00 pm -- 9:00 pm. Serving on the board doesn't take much time and is a great way to get to know your neighbors, show you care about the neighborhood, make a difference in the place you live and gain leadership experience. Talk to any of the current board members listed on the last page about what the position involves. Put the date on your calendar now and plan to mix, mingle, munch and get to know your neighbors. Need a plumber? Most of these events take place from April through June, and each provides a day of fishing for a few dozen to several hundred kids and their families.
