Today’s fashion dictates healthy, smooth, and shiny hair. Smooth hair is very desirable
by most people, easier to work with by hair artists, and is easier to upkeep and maintain at
home, while curly and frizzy hair takes more styling time and is more difficult to manage.
It is my pleasure to share with you our latest invention called CHI ENVIRO AMERICAN
SMOOTHING TREATMENT.
It is a revolutionary treatment which is 100% formaldehyde free, natural and safe. The
treatment is easy, simple, fast, and can eliminate up to 95% of frizz and curl. CHI Enviro is
guaranteed to leave the hair healthier, stronger, and smoother, while adding amazing shine.
CHI Enviro is formulated with amino acids, proteins, silk, and pearl. The combining of
cysteine can synergize with hair’s natural cysteine, thus rearranging cysteine proteins in the
hair’s natural fiber. There is no bond breaking with this invention only rearranging.
The new protein rearrangement can be cured to last for up to 4 months by using the CHI
Hairstyling Iron set at 410°F. Thus sealing and bonding hair to produce smooth, silky, strong,
and shiny hair.

Procedures
Before:
Preparation:
Step 1
Shampoo the hair with the CHI Enviro Purity Shampoo. Leave shampoo on for 3-5 min, then
rinse well.
Step 2
Towel dry hair at least 50% dry and comb smooth to remove any tangles.
Application:
Step 3
Section the hair into 4 sections. Start application in the nape area using ¼ inch subsections.
Step 4
Use a tint brush to apply CHI Enviro American Smoothing Solution to hair ½ inch from the new
growth. Use a small tooth comb to evenly distribute the product then go back and comb
through the re-growth area. Remove excess product on each section until you complete the full
head application.
*Tip: Make sure to not over saturate product on the hair. To avoid using too much product,
you may apply to one section, skip the next section, and comb hair into previous section to
distribute the product more evenly.
Continue application by applying solution to the remaining sections.
Processing
Step 5
Once application is complete, process at room temperature. Follow the timing guide for hair
type and treatment system formula. No cap is required.
*Tip: Keep hair straight and smooth during processing time.

*Tips:
For processing multi-porous hair types:
• You may apply two different formulas at the same time.
For retouch application or extremely porous/damaged hair:
• Apply to the roots first and then the mid-shaft and ends using a milder
treatment if necessary. Apply your second formula to the mid-shaft and ends
when the root area starts to soften.
For extremely resistant curl patterns:
• Apply first to mid-shaft then apply to new growth area then the ends.
Following the same timing recommended.
Sealing
Steps 6
With product still in the hair use a round brush or paddle brush to blow dry the hair completely.
This will start the sealing process.
Step 7
Section hair into 4 sections and gently clip (use a plastic clip). Using the CHI Iron (4 button)
begin pressing at the nape (this will begin the sealing process) using ¼ inch subsections. Press
each section five times slowly from roots to ends, this allows the heat to penetrate and seal.
Continue until entire head is finished.
Step 8
Allow hair to cool for 15 minutes.
Step 9
Shampoo with CHI Enviro Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner.
Finishing
Step 10
Blow dry and press hair slowly using the CHI Iron, one pass only.
Home Maintenance

Do not shampoo for 48 hours.
Avoid getting any moisture into the hair. If hair gets wet, blow dry and go over lightly
with a CHI Iron using recommended heating.
Wear hair down. Do not use pins, clips, ponytail holders or glasses to hold the hair back
We recommend this for at least the first week. Thereafter using caution with only using
covered or cloth hair bands to avoid adding a crease.
It is only recommended to use only CHI Hair Care products for home maintenance.

Q What is the CHI Enviro American Smoothing Treatment?
A This revolutionary treatment eliminates up to 95% of frizz, reduces curl and instantly adds
amazing shine, and silkiness to the hair. It is a protein restructuring complex with Pearl
Complex and Silk added to increase shine and strength. CHI Enviro is free from formaldehyde
and formaldehyde releasing chemicals. Its protein and amino acid complex allows temporary
change in the structure of hair fibers, leaving hair easier to comb and hair that is silkier,
smoother and shinier.
Q Can I color my hair?
A Yes. Permanent hair color or highlights are recommended prior to treatment.
Semi-permanent color, glazes or any kind of demi-colors will act as a sealer and extend the life

Q Can the CHI Enviro Smoothing System be used on chemically treated, previously relaxed or
straightened hair?

Q Can I wash my hair after the treatment?
A We suggest waiting 2 days (48 hours) before you shampoo.
If you accidently get your hair
wet, dry hair immediately and smooth with correct temperature of your CHI Iron.
Q Can I use hair ties?
A You must not use ponytail bands, clips, headbands, or anything that would stifle the hair’s
straight pattern 48 hours after the treatment.
Q How long will this treatment last?
A The treatment should last up to 4 months depending upon hair type and maintenance
provided at home from client. Client is recommended to use the CHI Enviro Home Care
Maintenance Shampoo and Conditioner for prolonged results.
Q How much time should be allowed for each client?
A The length, density, and amount of a person’s hair will determine the time spent during this
service. Average time is usually 2 hours.
