canned tomatoes in several varieties:

The Finest Tomatoes
Primo Gusto canned tomatoes and sauces are
made with 100 percent California tomatoes,
grown by a select group of dedicated farmers
who take pride in their craft. They start with
proprietary seeds germinated inside a climatecontrolled greenhouse to ensure the best tomatoes.
A consistent, extended growing season allows
the natural sugars of the tomato to develop.
Primo Gusto tomatoes go from field to can
in four–six hours. This ensures that the vineripened freshness of the tomatoes is captured
in every can.
• A natural steam-peeling process captures
100% of the virgin tomato juice.
This provides you with the full color and
true taste of vine-ripened tomatoes.
• A proprietary slow-cooking process ensures
tomatoes are cooked at a low temperature
for an extended time period, eliminating
scorching, which can affect taste. Finished
cans are then rolled during the cooling
process to ensure the product is cooled
throughout—providing the best texture
and flavor.
• Lower levels of acidity used in this special
canning process allow the sweetness of the
tomato to come through.
• A stringent quality-assurance procedure
means hundreds of cans of product are
tested daily throughout the manufacturing
process for taste, texture, and overall
quality. If the product doesn’t meet exact
specifications, it doesn’t leave the plant.
