Curriculum Plan: Learning Experiences
As historians we will:

Study significant events in European history –
esp. The Roman Empire and its impact on
Britain / The Viking and Anglo Saxon struggle
for the Kingdom of England
As artists we will:
 Draw and paint images of the landscapes and
cities we study
 Take inspiration from the works of great
European artists over the centuries
As designers we will:
 Use electrical circuits to create a Christmas
lights scene
 Design and create Roman and Viking shields
 Experiment with European cookery

As geographers we will:

Study the geography of Europe, with a
particular focus on Norway, Holland & Italy;
we will explore flags, culture, events, famous
people and physical features of key European
countries
As mathematicians we will:
 Use statistics to create bar charts and
pictograms

 Make calculations involving addition,
subtraction, multiplication and division
 Use place value to add and subtract

In Physical Education we will:
